67 days left for Pamplona!

Disturbed included the song Shout 2000 in their March 2000 album SICKNESS. I thought it was an improvement. There must be other HEAVY METAL bands that borrow songs from other bands, but the amount of songs that get adopted after being redux in a hard rock style are scarce. If you haven't heard EDDIE OJEDA's rendition of Eleanor Rigby, it's in the 'Axes to axes' CD. Dee Snider sings the vocals on the metal transformation of the 1964 song. I think it's one of the best Beatles revival songs I've ever heard.

Irish blood, English heart has an addictive melody. As I sit and listen to it, I'm impelled to research some of the words in the lyrics that are foreign to me because, aside from the parallel universes my past and YOU ARE THE QUARRY seem to stimulate in my hippocampus, I don't have the foggiest idea what the hell this song's about.

Irish Blood, English Heart
Irish blood, English heart, This I'm made of
There is no one on earth I'm afraid of
And no regime can buy or sell me

I've been dreaming of a time when
To be English is not to be baneful
To be standing by the flag not feeling shameful, Racist or partial

Irish blood, English heart, This I'm made of
There is no one on earth I'm afraid of
And I will die with both of my hands untied

I've been dreaming of a time when
The English are sick to death of Labour, And Tories
And spit upon the name Oliver Cromwell
And denounce this royal line that still salute him
And will salute him forever

I originally thought Morrissey's latest album was You are the quarry, but apparently I just want to see the boy happy was released in December 2006. I feel foolish now thinking You are the quarry is about me, but I'll continue to interpret the lyrics as they have meaning to me.

Irish blood, English heart got a high popularity count. First of the Gang to die outscored Irish Blood. I'm not too sure, but I believe that the very last time I saw my high school sweetheart, when I still remembered what she looked like, was when her and I went to the Glendale Galleria and had an Irish Coffee. I remember seeing break-dancers (before they were illegalized) in the mall, spinning on their back, and my xgf asking me if I can dance like that.
