I'm still sitting on the iguana habitat project because I need to buy some supplies, but this sunday I kept myself busy remembering that I've been wanting to hang a potted fern. I didn't have a genuine hanging rope and what I used was the twine that the Los Angeles times uses to wrap their paper up for delivery. I use that to macramé a stronger rope.
I live near busy streets and as a result I find empty beer cans left in the driveway. One of the favorites public drinkers like to drink is Saporo. I don't know if you've ever tried, but the canned beer comes in a thicker aluminum, which is also magnetic. I hate finding empty beer cans in my drive (if I'm not the one who left it there), but it dawned on me that I might be able to use it to tie the rope around the pot if I could weld it together. And here we are.
