It's 3:30 boys and girls. You know what that means, don't you?

Here I am, waiting for the next customer. How fortunate I am to work in a place with plenty of scratch paper to doodle on. I can imagine how other places must deprive their workers of down time doodling, such as warehouses, department stores, restaurants.

There was a time when reading was allowed during gaps of service. Then a customer thought to complain to the boss that too much reading was taking place. Once in a great while a customer will stand two to three yards away from the counter expecting a clerk to say "next!", but when we are reading a book, we don't see somebody standing at that distance, waiting.
