Why can't I just be content with the phone plan I already have?

It isn't as if I get a lot of calls by phone. If my only objective to upgrading my phone plan to a smart phone data plan, I should by thinking of getting one of the free phones, especially since I'm not Android's number 1 fan. I thought waiting until news about Sprint + iPhone rumors were confirmed, then I could decide between Android and iOS 5. It seems, however, that if Sprint does eventually accommodate iPhone users into their plan, it will be with the upcoming iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 is probably still going to be in development where Sprint cellular service is concerned.
