From the Los Angeles Times:
Jared Lee Loughner to be tried first on federal charges
Jared Lee Loughner, accused of trying to assassinate Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, will be tried first on federal charges, according to an agreement announced Friday by federal and state prosecutors.
Read more about the fate of this killer's rampage who used a gun to shoot anyone and everyone, including a defenseless child. I don't think he'll be lobbying for mercy from the court since a life term would place him in prison where the inmate credo is 'no respect' for child killers. I think if this boy, Jared, had a choice in the matter, he would want the death penalty where he could await his execution in the comforts of his own cell with no interaction from fellow inmates.
He is a sick puppy, but I don't believe such things as getting his ideas from the music he may or may not've listened to. I don't remember where it was I heard, but I think I may have read somewhere that he was fond of heavymetal music. That really puts musicians on the spot in the matter. What is a rock star supposed to say if asked for his input on the Loughner rampage?
It all comes down to who made him the monster he's become. His parents, his school teachers, his friends or the music he would listen to? Perhaps incidents like this helped to control the airwaves to censor metal from being played on the radio, or at the superbowl. I don't know about you but whenever I think of Black eyed peas performing there, I have to cringe at how biased the whole network industry has become. Ask a great big football player if he rather listen to Black eyed peas or heavy metal during his workouts and practices. Sure, I guess a lot of football players might say yes to peas, but that doesn't mean the other group of players are mental.
