A good read, and why titular inference for contemporary works seems tied up in copyright scandals

'Da Vinci' judge has code of his own

from the Associated Press-London, LA Times 4/27/6 sect. E

It's been discovered that the Judge who ruled over the lawsuit against author of The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown, has a sense of cryptology working for him. As discoveries of a secret code have been uncovered by London/N.Y. lawyers who've managed to obtain copies of Judge Peter Smith's 71 page verdict, the first seven paragraphs is believed to spell out "Smithy Code"; no doubt a take on His Honour's idea that the film's writing credits might probably acknowledge Allan Smithee as screenwriter. I don't think I'll run out to theaters for this film because I anticipate that the old adage "the book is always better" will apply. And I've read the book, as well as the prequel, and a few other (e.g. The Chymical Wedding) which I found more exciting than Dan Brown's mystery. But even so, I'm not running out to the record shop to buy music by My Chemical Romance.
