Oh no, I don't have a fix

All I been hearing/reading on the web is that SLAYER has cancelled their American Carnage tour. WTF? back surgery. I know somebody at work who says that back surgery made them worse and they hope they never had it done. This is my fucking concern. What's to become of the greatest black metal band on earth? Delay the tour as much as you want. I'm sure the original tickets will be honored when Tom is back on his feet and able to rock, but back surgery? OMG! I can't believe there's nothing on the news about this either, man. Fucking mainstream news sucks. I watch the news every day on local network channels. I tolerate the bullshit that governs big media. The FCC restriction on language and shit, but what could be the harm in airing a segment or two about the American Carnage Tour cancellation?

It's an old Jan‾2009 interview which spans about 7 minutes. I admit that there are times that I elucidate what I might say to somebody like Tom if I somehow found myself backstage after the concert. What I mean is, all this blogging and e-zine projects that I do in my spare time makes me feel like some hack journalist who might be taken serious some day. But if I ever wanted to be a journalist for-real, it would only be to get into shows for free and/or drink with celebrities. What kind of questions would I have for Tom?

Tom, it worries me that there are not local radio stations that play your music genre, no late shows that air your performances and, if there happens to be one or two cable channels that play music, air shows, then they usually tend to mix it up with bands that share the spotlight for rap metal fans. There's been a few bands that have reeled me in to buying their CDs because I liked a song or two, only to discover that they rap on a hefty percentage of songs in their album. It's common knowledge that infamy in anything one does sooner or later tends to border with whoring their skills as an artist (to make ends meet), as that's the only way I can make myself understand why a metal band would subject themselves to play that crap; SLAYER'S World painted blood seemed too good to be true and I was half expecting that the Long Beach performance might result in a Priestly end. Do you say that the pain you're suffering in your back would hinder the seriousness of a stage performance designed to communicate your lyrics with the audience clearly, or is the country, vastly concerned with it's own homeland security, unprepared for such a chef-d'oeuvre, that the weight of the world is the equivalent of discomfort you are seeking to have lifted by medical means?

If there is a god, perhaps somebody might help me cope with my day job without anything to look forward to for the next few months. All work makes Jack a dull boy. Best wishes for your full recovery, Tom.
