I'm just getting over the worst cold. I don't know if you can call it that, though. It started off normally enough with a sore throat. I always gag waking up in the morning from this bronchial infection. It never fails that I find myself kneeling over the toilet thinking of the book The carpetbaggers. Or was it The grapes of wrath in which somebody dies an assisted death by morphine injection? Who knows…
For the record, I rub Vicks menthulatum on my chest before I go to bed at night. I also drink red onion tea sweetened with honey, cough drops at work, baja California mint pills at night called Terramicina (yum), etc. So, today the reason I called in sick was (because I'm sick) I didn't know one shouldn't shower/bathe the next day after applying vapor rub. I wasn't going to show up smelling like Ben Gay, that's for sure.
So, since I'm not physically running a high fever, I paid some bills and finalized training registration for a computer class. I have to find good placed to eat in Santa Ana. I don't know how long I'll have for lunch, but I'll be in the 92705 area and I do take suggestions.
