This is the second stage of the painstaking process of image transfer. I still have to go in and touch up some holes, but I think by tomorrow I will know whether the screen functions as a decent stencil.I'm getting hungry and somebody asked me to go to the Sunset Junction with them. I've still gotta put some clothes on and figure out whether I'm meeting them, or driving them. Parking is always a bitch there. I've text message my friend, but I haven't gotten a reply. I think I'm being ignored.
id you know that I began learning calligraphy using speedball nibs? I've moved on to Brause nibs since then, but now it seems I'm back to speedball while I learn how to do screenprints.
Before you know it, I'll be building my own frames and stapling the mesh onto it myself. I feel excited for the prospect of developing my e-zine in the future. I've though of copy machines, but that's just so impersonal. I've also thought of DTP, but it seems that zinesters try to stay away from that as much as possible. So, can you imagine what a zine completely hand printed might be like? I can't wait.
