It's published, but now what?
by Julia Keller LA Times, 7/19/8, §E12
Here's an interest predicament writers find themselves in after they've passed the painstaking task of writing their manuscripts. Once they've compiled everything for the printers and make their investment to publish their books, they're stuck with hundreds, if not thousands of copies of their published book. The didn't take into consideration how to unload their books to the many retail outlets in the country/world. Keller gives two examples of two finished books by different authors who find promoting their craft harder than peddling their product on freeway exit ramps.
