Linecasting
Maybe I was actually lucky that I could never quite find myself a job like this one at a printing company. Can you imagine the tediousness of preparing a line of type § for your newspaper articles this way? I mean it's bad enough that it must literally be done one slug at a time, but these guys have to read their finished work backwards (mirror image). Now imagine what a veteran linecaster would say about trying to learn Quark-x-press or PageMaker.
